Artist Statement from Steep Daniels: 

"Just Call Me explores the tension between contemporary digital communication and the biblical tradition of calling upon God. By overlaying the modern phrase “DON’T TEXT ME” onto classical religious imagery, the collection invites viewers to reconsider prayer, presence, and relationship in an age of constant notifications.

The response to the first edition exceeded my expectations, with the collection selling out and finding homes with collectors who connected with both the concept and the conversation it sparked.

This next chapter expands the series through new biblical stories, parables, and moments where God calls people by name— continuing the dialogue between ancient scripture and contemporary culture.
