Inspired by Raphael’s timeless depiction of the Virgin Mary, the Christ Child, and St. John the Baptist, JUST CALL ME No. 2 reimagines a Renaissance masterpiece through expressive hand embellishment, allowing contemporary mark-making to coexist with one of history’s most celebrated sacred images.
Although this work does not feature the signature “DON’T TEXT ME” phrase found throughout much of the JUST CALL ME collection, it remains an integral part of the series. Instead, the composition itself quietly reflects on the timeless act of calling upon God through prayer in an age increasingly shaped by texts, notifications, and digital communication.
Each artwork is individually hand-embellished, making every original unique. A crystal-clear epoxy resin finish enhances the depth and luminosity of the surface, while carefully filed, rounded edges create a smooth sculptural contour. The sides are painted black, allowing the work to be displayed beautifully without a frame. The reverse is signed, dated, and numbered as part of the limited edition.
Every original artwork also includes a limited-edition postcard from JUST CALL ME No. 1, inspired by the original Divine Mercy image painted in 1934 under the guidance of St. Faustina Kowalska. The postcard serves as both a companion piece and a tribute to the devotional tradition that inspired this collection. 
For collectors receiving their artwork in person, each painting is presented in a one-of-a-kind hand-painted Holt Renfrew shopping bag, transformed into an artwork of its own. The original Holt Renfrew logo is crossed out and replaced with “Jesus → Guggenheim,” extending the themes of transformation and contemporary culture beyond the canvas.
JUST CALL ME is an invitation to pause—to step away from the noise of constant digital communication and rediscover the timeless practice of calling on God through prayer, reflection, and presence.
